Wow. This was my first Joyn workout and I'm feeling so lifted and a little misty. For years I've gone through these cycles of building up the courage to workout at home, forcing my way through YouTube videos totally unsuited for where I'm at, then leaving feeling exhausted, nauseous, and like I took too many breaks or wasn't doing it how the instructor could because of their body shape. Kanoa made me feel so at home and welcome and her light, giggly energy felt like a warm hug compared to the "push it" vibe/culture I've always experienced from online instructors in the past. I usually go for 10-20 minute YouTube workouts because I know it'll be too hard and that's as much as I'll be able to push myself through. I left this 40-minute video feeling challenged but not drained, and I don't feel the heavy, wobbly, sick feeling I almost always feel after any cardio/core workout. Needless to say, I can't wait to go back and do this whole series and experience what else Joyn has to offer!

I really love this series, even the longer ones go so quickly, the intervals are perfect and Kanoa is so encouraging in the best way.

Love this one! Core is definitely the hardest for me, so I will certainly be doing this one a lot more before 12.3 is released!

Really really enjoyed this one for many reasons. Some of my thoughts: 1) I love how Kanoa said she's been listening to the comments and will be incorporating the feedback into phase 2. Awesome! 2) I am continually blown away at Kanoa's beast mode, being able to go through 45-second long intervals back to back without any rests in between! I will put in a personal request to add 5-10 rest breaks between exercise sets, though I also recognize this might be part of what makes this the 3rd, most intense level! The 5.3 workout left me sore for 4-5 days (that could've been me overdoing it though!) 3) Really appreciated the comment about fitness instructors often not being able to go at the same intensity level as their videos every day (if I heard that right).. As a long time at-home workout-er, I found this very normalizing, and demystifying of the fitness instructor world. Thanks for all your encouragement and light. Excited and ready for phase 2! -A fan.
